AB Clearance Services was called in by solicitors acting on behalf of Executors. Our initial instructions were to place items from the probate list into auction and then to clear the property and ready it to be marketed for sale.
However, after the first visit to assess the work, AB asked for permission to identify all items with value to increase the value for the estate. Once this had been approved by the executors AB began their work identifying and valuing – sorting the items within the property whilst clearing the 19 rooms including vaults and basements along with self-contained flats.
AB produced a full inventory of items with associated values, and prepared them to be delivered to auction. Any items required by family members were identified and remained in the property.
An extensive collection of art, books and furniture were all packaged and taken to auction. In addition, all sensitive paperwork and family records were saved and boxed ready for the Solicitors inspection.
Due to the size and complexity of this property and its contents, AB worked along side estate agents to carry out our work whilst keeping the property fully available for the agents to continue with their early viewings.
